Building a Clinic to Match His Standards

Building a Clinic to Match His Standards

Marcel spent his early clinical years inside a multi-disciplinary clinic where physiotherapy, chiropractic, registered massage, naturopathy, and kinesiology operated under one roof. The model gave him a broad view of how care gets coordinated and where it falls down. Six years in, he was ready to build something different.

Influenced by the Clinical Athlete Approach

Influenced by the Clinical Athlete Approach

Marcel's clinical thinking draws heavily on the Clinical Athlete framework founded by Quinn Henoch. The emphasis on systems and principles, humility, and questioning dogma matched the way Marcel wanted to practice from the start: principles-led work centred on the individual patient.

Serious Care, No Gimmicks

Serious Care, No Gimmicks

Marcel's practice steps away from binary thinking. He treats pain and recovery as systems with many inputs, and he holds firm on screening for red flags. Some of his proudest clinical moments have been recognizing patients who needed referral to medical care first. In his view, trust comes from clinical depth and clear honest communication.

Co-Founding Forza in 2024

In 2024, Marcel co-founded Forza Physiotherapy with Justin Mazzei. The two were aligned on what they wanted to build: full one-on-one sessions, exercise-based rehab, objective performance testing, and an honest clinical culture. Both founders share Italian heritage — Forza means strength in Italian, a nod to that and to the standard the clinic holds itself to.

Practice at Forza

At Forza, Marcel works with a broad caseload of active adults: people training for performance, recovering from injury, returning to sport, and staying capable as they age. His approach combines hands-on care with progressive exercise, Vald performance testing, and the iterative communication style that defines his practice. He wants Forza to be the place patients return to first.

Physiotherapy Treatments provided by Marcel

Marcel combines progressive exercise, VALD performance testing, and a primary-care model built on clinical depth.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Marcel assesses and treats the full range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute joint and muscle injuries to long-standing pain. Each session pairs thorough orthopaedic assessment with progressive exercise programming tied to the patient's specific goals.

Sports Injury Rehabilitation

Marcel works with recreational athletes and active adults recovering from training and competition injuries. Sessions are built on thorough assessment, objective testing where useful, and a progressive return-to-sport process tied to measurable milestones.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Marcel guides patients through structured recovery after orthopaedic surgery. Each phase is anchored by clear milestones, objective testing, and exercise progression aligned with surgeon protocols, with the goal of full function and confidence by the time discharge criteria are met
