Frequently Asked Questions
The timing depends on your surgery type and surgeon's recommendations. For ACL reconstructions and meniscus repairs, gentle movement and range-of-motion exercises often begin within days of surgery. For knee replacements, physiotherapy typically starts within 24-48 hours. We work closely with your surgical team to ensure we start at the right time for optimal healing and follow your surgeon's specific protocol.
Treatment duration varies based on your condition, goals, and response to therapy. Acute knee injuries may improve within 4-6 sessions, while post-surgical rehabilitation (like ACL reconstruction) typically requires 3-6 months of progressive treatment. Chronic knee pain management may take 6-12 weeks. We provide estimates after your initial assessment and adjust as you progress.
Yes. We use Vald Performance force plate technology to objectively measure strength, power, and movement asymmetries in your knees. This data helps us track your progress, identify imbalances that could lead to reinjury, and determine when you're ready to return to sport. Force plate testing is particularly valuable for athletes recovering from ACL tears, meniscus repairs, or other knee surgeries.
